Advanced Laser Resurfacing for Firmer, Smoother, More Rejuvenated Skin
Fractional CO2 Skin Resurfacing with DOT Therapy
Fractional CO2 Skin Resurfacing with DOT™ Therapy is an advanced laser treatment designed to improve the overall quality, texture, and appearance of the skin.
As we age, the production of collagen and elastin—proteins that help keep skin firm, smooth, and resilient—naturally slows down. This can contribute to fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, sun damage, and laxity of the skin.
Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing uses controlled laser energy to create microscopic treatment columns within the skin. This stimulates the body's natural healing response and encourages the production of new collagen and elastin, helping reveal smoother, firmer and more rejuvenated-looking skin over time.
How DOT Therapy Works
DOT™ stands for Dermal Optical Thermolysis. The technology delivers CO2 laser energy in a precise "dot" pattern, creating microscopic columns of controlled thermal injury while leaving surrounding skin intact.
This fractional approach allows the untreated tissue between the laser columns to help support the skin's natural healing process.
As the skin repairs itself, new collagen and elastin are produced, helping improve:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin texture
- Uneven skin tone
- Sun-damaged skin
- Acne scars and other types of scarring
- Enlarged pores
- Overall skin firmness and quality
What Does "Fractional" Mean?
Unlike fully ablative resurfacing, which treats the entire surface of the skin, fractional laser resurfacing treats only a portion—or fraction—of the treatment area at a time.
The laser creates microscopic columns of heat while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This approach is designed to stimulate significant skin remodeling while allowing the skin to heal between the treated areas.

Treatment intensity can be adjusted based on your individual skin, treatment area, and desired results.
Preparing Your Skin
Preparation is an important part of the CO2 resurfacing process.
A pre-procedure appointment is required before treatment. Your provider will evaluate your skin and establish an appropriate skin-preparation regimen.
Skin preparation typically begins 4–6 weeks before treatment and is designed to help prepare the skin for the procedure and support the healing process.
Because CO2 resurfacing is an intensive laser treatment, proper preparation and aftercare are an important part of achieving a safe and successful treatment experience.
Is Fractional CO2 Resurfacing Right for You?
CO2 resurfacing is not recommended for all skin types. Certain skin types and conditions may have a higher risk of pigmentation changes or other complications following laser resurfacing.
A consultation is required to determine whether you are an appropriate candidate.
Your provider will review your skin, medical history, current skincare products and treatments, and your goals before developing an individualized treatment plan.
